WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HIRING A CONTRACTOR
We have been in the construction business for over 20 Years. Sadly, bad stories about hiring contractors are common. There is only one way to do a job—the right way.
When hiring a contractor there are a few things you should know:
— Is the contractor licensed?
— Does the contractor have insurance? [e.g., General Liability and Workmen’s Comp]. If a contractor doesn’t have insurance and gets injurred on your property you can be sued.
— References…references.…references. Get their references, check them and go look at their work. Be sure they have a proven track record.
— Does the company drug test and conduct background checks? Many on my team are retired military veterans and conduct themselves as such.
